The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
  • When you browse our Web Site, our ads, our job ads, our landing pages or you take part to virtual meetings and webinars, we may collect your IP address, your cookie identifier or other factors.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Commercial interest for our product
  • Professional interest in cooperating with us
  • For the purposes of serving your request (commercial or other nature)
  • For an interest in our publications or events, online or offline
  • For the purposes of setting up meetings
  • For marketing purposes, to inform you about our evolving service offering

We do not receive or purchase personal information indirectly and our service offering is not aimed at collecting minor’s data.

We use the information that you have given us in order to exercise our commercial functions.

Our Lawful Basis

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(b) We have a contractual obligation.

(c) We have a legitimate interest. This applies to our marketing activities. We will keep our commercial information to a minimum and will make use of your data in a proportionate way that has a minimal privacy impact, so that you will not likely object in such circumstances in circumstances where it is not possible for you to give us a written consent (i.e. when you give us your business card at an event, and we follow up on that).

Consent for electronic marketing communication.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which sit alongside the Data Protection Act and the GDPR, you have specific privacy rights in relation to electronic communications, that is:

  • marketing calls, emails, texts and faxes;

  • keeping communications services secure; and
  • customer privacy as regards traffic and location data, itemised billing, line identification, and directory listings.

The PERC applies because we:

Before browsing our sites, you will be asked to give your consent to us collecting information through cookies. For our marketing activities, we use Google, SAP and Hubspot services. Cookies can be used to track information about people accessing a website or other electronic service. The cookies collected will allow the website to recognise the user’s device and store some information about the user’s preferences or past actions. The information collected through cookies will help us offer you a better browsing experience and help pus understand which content is the most useful.

Our site uses simple SSL certificates, with a payment gateway provided by Paypal, which will be responsible for handling your data once you accessed their service. Please read their Security and Privacy Policy too before using the service.

Forwarding your Personal Data to other ILT companies: ILT may transfer your Personal Data to other entities in the ILT Group, which are Interlanguage Translation Ltd., ILT srl, Interpretdirect Ltd. and ASAP Globalize GmbH.

Embedded Web Links: Emails from ILTGROUP may use links designed to lead you to a relevant area on the Web, after redirection through ILTGROUP’s servers. The redirection system allows ILTGROUP to change the destination URL of these links, if necessary, and to determine the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives. In emails, such links may also allow ILTGROUP to determine if you have clicked on a link in the email, and the information about this interaction may be connected to your personal identity. If you do not want ILTGROUP to collect information about the links you clicked, you can simply choose not to click on the links in an e-mail that ILTGORUP sends you.

AnchorCookies: We use cookies to deliver personalized content, to save you having to re-enter your password repeatedly, to keep track of your shopping cart, and to tailor our information offerings to how you and others use the site.

AnchorE-mail Addresses: If you choose to give us your e-mail address, we will communicate with you via e-mail. We do not share your e-mail address with others outside the ILTGROUP companies. You can choose not to receive any more e-mail at any time.

Event Registration: Our site includes order forms that you fill out to request information, event participation and services.

All our employees are bound to observe your privacy and confidentiality rights.

Links to Other Sites: This site may contain links to other sites. ILT Group is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other websites outside the ILT Group of companies. Please always check the privacy notice of the relevant site.

Opt-Out: We communicate with users who subscribe to our services on a regular basis via email, and we may also communicate by phone to resolve customer complaints to send you notice of payments, to send you information about changes to our services, and to send notices and other disclosures as required by law. Our blogs, newsletters and e-mail will offer you an “unsubscribe” option to stop receiving informative updates from us.

ILT Group does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data on a child under the age of 13, we will delete that data from our systems.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored on our SaaS provider’s servers (Hubspot, SAP, Flowdezk, Memsource) based in the EU territory (in compliance with EU regulation) and backed up on an internal archive.

We keep your contact details for the time necessary to perform our contractual obligations, for our legitimate interest and for communication purposes (when consent is given). If required by you, we will delete your data in our possession from our records.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
